Round 4 nearly here

The gap between the Summer Nationals and the Open Sport Nationals normally drags on and on, but because we went to the test day at the halfway stage it's made it come round a lot faster than usual.
There hasn't been a lot happening with the bike, i emptied the oil and took the cylinder head off to replace the power rings as we had a small leak on number 4 pot. But it's now back together and hopefully ready to go.
One of the likely changes at the next meeting will be in the fuel we use. There's enough of the MaxNos left to do a few runs but not to complete the meeting, and after doing a bit of research i wanted to change to a fuel with a higher motor octane rating. The MaxNos has an octane of 117 but a motor octane of just 113. Whereas the VP alternative C16 has a motor octane of 117. The idea being it could allow us to put a little bit more timing back in.
We will probably do one qualifying run on MaxNos then change and try to get it set right for C16.

We're not doing very well in the points chase at this halfway stage, and are currently lying a lowly 6th. Qualifying positions don't get you many points, you have to go through rounds to get those, and we've had a habit of going left and going out in the first round!
