Anyway, it turned out to be worth the hassle as the weather was largely great, and we made quite a few decent runs. In fact, it was a very consistent weekend, the slowest pass we made being an 8.0. and the fastest a 7.9 so all of the six runs we made within a tenth of each other.
This was even more surprising considering i changed fuel halfway through the weekend. the only change i made was to increase the size of the fuel jet, and it ran pretty much spot on straight away.
We qualified third just behind Liz McCarthy and Allan Davies who ran 7.7's and 7.8's respectively.
In the first round i met Kevin Osman, who had been having difficulties all weekend and threw a load of power into it hoping to beat us, but it wasn't to be and he had a troubled run. In the next round we raced Allan Davies, who it seems we have never raced before, either in qualifying or competition... very unusual. Anyway, i upped the start % of the nitrous as the track was good and i knew i wasn't going to beat Allan by running another 7.9. The result was we lost, as he had a great run and improved his PB from a 7.8 to a 7.7 we had a good run with best short times ever but still only ran a 7.9 and at a crazily low 159mph. Further increasing the mystery of whats happened to our top end speed?
