Clutch crumble

It's uncanny that just a couple of weeks ago i started thinking about how i should replace my 'prone to explode' standard clutch basket with a billet one. And today i took the clutch cover off and discovered shrapnel in the casing.
It looked like the remains of a hardened steel washer with a bevelled edge, but i didn't recognise it at all. After further investigation and removal of the basket i spotted where it's come from.
Two of the basket backing plate springs have broken up into several pieces, luckily the bits are too big to escape or they could have made a mess.
I took the sump off looking for more bits but so far i've not discovered any.

I'll probably remove the gear from the hub and have it fitted to the new basket along with new backing plate and springs.
