Back in business

It's August already and suddenly it ain't too far off the next race, only 3 weekends to get things sorted. One good thing is that all the engine parts have been modified, bored, relieved, fettled and tweaked and a start has been made on reassembly of the fourth generation of bopchop engine.
The cases i'm using this time are from a later EFE model, and have numerous small differences so transplanting parts such as gearbox, case studs etc has not been straightforward. The bottom end is partly done and next weekend i should get it finished.
The cellar is still rather busy with cases and other bits all over the place, i have a lot of parts on eBay at the moment, partly because i need the room, and partly because i need the money. Dataloggers still need to be bought, and I'm on the lookout for a smallish milling machine.
And last weekend i acquired a very cheap, but fully functional and rather ancient bullows Hydrovane compressor. I didn't want a normal compressor as they are large and usually pretty noisy but this produces 35psi continuously, with no tank and almost no noise at all. It's both fab and unusual!
