Wot no Logger?

The recent purchase of a Racepack Logger has now done an about turn and it's been 'un-purchased'. It turns out that there were parts missing, and the cost of parts off Racepak aren't cheap. For not a lot more money a brand new Racepak logger could have been purchased, so it's been abandoned. The lookout for another one has begun!

More GSX's and Engine mounts have been on the agenda recently. I bought a complete GSX in bits from a guy near Tyne and wear. The engine was advertised as a runner, the rest of the bike didn't look so clever but in similar condition to the last couple i bought. The plan was to strip the engine, keep the cases and crank, and sell the rest. However the engine was found to have been left full of water and almost nothing in it is usable, I've even thrown the cases in the scrap pile as they have a pretty large welded repair right on the front of the block. Useless basically.

New engine mounts have been water cut, and today i fitted each bracket individually and stamped them to identify where they go. All that's left to do is final polishing. The almost complete lack of spindle bolts going to make removal and fitting of the engine a lot easier, and the fit is a lot better than the old ones.
