Bigger stuff

There are a couple of modifications that are almost underway with the bopchop. But at the moment I can't do much as my Sister is having modifications of a different kind done to her house, so the cellar where i keep the bike is currently a very dusty, held up with acro props, building site. I spent an hour or two at weekend cleaning up but didn't realize there was more to be done, so I'll have to do it all again. At least i have somewhere to keep it!!

Anyway .... after reflecting (briefly) on the last race weekend, and the thought i had regarding the bike feeling a little flat at the top end of the track. I've decided (after speaking to a few people) that the carbs could be holding it back due to being too small. They are only 33mm (Mikuni VM33's) and most of the other bikes are using 38mm or bigger. So I've bought a set of 40mm Lectron carbs complete with cables, throttle and nitrous activation switch.
Setting them up will hopefully not be too problematic as they came off a similar sized motor so shouldn't be too far off the mark. I'll be keeping hold of the Smoothbores however just until i have them working properly.
But with any luck they will be easy to set up and we could see another 10mph on the top speed.

The next modification involves making my bike look a bit more ridiculous and fitting XXXL footpegs to it. the reason for this is i simply cannot get my feet on the pegs until about half track, the exhaust gets completely in the way of one of them and the other is too close to the gear changer to be messing around with. So I've had a couple pegs made that are an extra 3" longer.
