Sticky switches, duff batteries, fireup No2

The problem of oil not reaching the top end has been cured. It was probably the oil pressure switch sticking , but i just removed it as it has no use anymore. Instead i'll buy an oil pressure gauge and use that to check the pressure is good before each run.
A local hydraulics company is pricing up some hoses and fittings to make a top end oiling kit. They estimated £35 which is a lot cheaper than the purpose built kits you can buy, this should ensure a plentiful supply of oil to the cams, and counteract the reduced capacity of the proper passageways due to the heavy duty stud kit.
By chance i noticed one of the batteries i got from the scrapyard was duff, it charged ok and held it but discharged too rapidly in use. So i took it back and swapped it for another i removed from a subaru that had just come in. Now the offboard starter has new vigor! I managed to start the bike several times with no problems so i think i have it sorted at last.
For anyone thinking of building one, the starter i use is from a Daihatsu 2.8 TDX. I took the solenoid apart and used an angle grinder to remove approx 4cm from the plunger that pushes the starter gear out. Then you need to weld a socket to the starter gear and away you go!
Ideally i need to change my socket for a deep one, so i've only tacked the socket on, until i acquire one.
This time i had my camera at the ready so heres a short clip of the second time i fired the Bopchop up.......

One thing i didn't realize is just how much these things vibrate, my VFR750 road bike is super smooth, you barely know theres internal combustion going on at all. But the GSX shakes a lot. I noticed when it was revved just a little that everything that isn't bolted down just moves around like it was not held on at all, mainly the nitrous controller is cable tied to the frame, so i'm gonna have to alter that!
