Super last minute dot com

*A quick update - engine reassembly didn't exactly go smoothly, and it was discovered there were parts needed that were fitted to the other cylinder head - which is away being welded up. The outcome then, is we aren't at Santa pod after all!*

After a great deal of not-a-lot happening, there's a sudden rush as plan emerged that means we could get to go racing this weekend.
Earlier this evening the only part i had ready was a freshly rebuilt crank in the back of my van. I finished work at 8 and went straight to the cellar to start putting an engine back together.
Progress so far ......
The Star cylinder head isn't done, nor is the big block, so the plan is to build the 1260cc engine i ran through 2008-2009, but using the sorted crank and the slider clutch. It won't be as fast as the old engine but i do have a set of micro drills, and 2 bottles of nitrous to help overcome that particular problem!
It will take a monumental effort tomorrow to get a complete engine built and fit it to the bike, plus set the timing, adjust the carbs etc, but with any luck we'll make it to the pod in the evening and get the bike scruitineered in the morning.

If we make it, you can follow the action through the hard work of the fine folks at eurodragster.com here: http://www.eurodragster.com/santapod/live/2012sprcsummernationals/default.asp
