I took the plunge and bought some MSD Superconductor spark plug wires to go with the rest of the ignition. They aren't cheap but then - they are good quality and contain enough different type fittings and boots to make another set if i need them, there's enough wire left over too.
They arrived along with the last three cylinder head studs that were needed to fit the Star head.
I can't actually fit that yet as some lash cap modifications are underway. But once completed i'll do a dry build just to check clearances and it'll be ready.
And lastly - today's task after fitting the ignition leads, was to soften the front forks slightly. With no adjustment available on the RG forks, i pulled the tops off and hacksawed 10mm off the spacer tube that preloads the spring. They are a bit softer and i'm hoping that it will alleviate the top end head shake that happened on several runs last time out.
