Event Horizon

This year will be season 4 for the bopchop team, and the start is just on the horizon. The Easter Thunderball is just 4 or 5 weeks away. Notorious for being affected by the weather, it does at least stand a better chance this year due to it being much later than usual. And it's also an event where track time can be minimal, despite being a 4 day engine driven extravaganza.
Version 3 of the entry list is now out and the closing date is a week on Friday. there are 6 so far in Competition bike and i can think of a few whose name hasn't appeared yet, so I'm taking a guess at there being 11 or so entries.
The bike ain't ready yet but work is in progress. Last weekend i went to see Roger Upperton again to get a few modifications to the Star head done, and Roger made me much needed and improved parts for the valve train. This weeks task is to measure valve spring pressure and set the installed height for the valves. Then it can go on for a dry build to check piston to valve clearance.
I need to have it done before too long so i can take it out and run it to test all is well. A lot has changed since last year and i'm concerned there may be teething troubles.

To add to the task list the van has had an ever increasing puddle underneath it everytime i stopped this week. The initial verdict is it's coolant, and it's dripping from the radiator area..... So i might have to find a bodge for that as i can't use Sams transit, a it's in the middle of a short- ford style premature life expectancy issue as well.
