I did take a couple of days of my holiday off from playing with the bike. The rest were largely quite productive. I made up brackets for mounting the nitrous bottle which will now reside inside the frame rather than riding shotgun. And further bracketry for the solenoids, the coils and a proper frame for the headlight shell which will hold the schnitz nitrous controller once again.
The rear brake which is Aprillia RS now has a mounting bracket and i made up a torque arm using some m8 rose joints and ally bar.
I also decided that i wouldn't use traditional handlebars as i want them to ride quite low compared to the top yoke (which is awaiting water cutting once K-cut reopen in the new year) and it would have meant making large blocks to mount on the underside of the yoke. Instead i eBayed a set of GSXR1000 clip-on type handlebars. Compared to most clip-ons they don't have much of an angle to them, and they seem to be perfect for the job.
One much needed item making itself elusive was the offset countershaft sprocket. A new one has worked out too expensive but a secondhand one has now been found in the US. It's not exactly what i wanted as it's only 14 tooth rather than the 15 i was looking for but i can work around that with different rear sprockets. It is however the correct 3" offset and has the 45mm nose that i wanted too.
When it arrives i need to have another piece of ally water cut in the form of a sprocket support plate. I'll then turn up a bearing holder and crankshaft seal holder that will bolt onto it.
