It's a Rollover

Yesterday i drained the oil and removed the sump to try a small modification to the gearbox that would hopefully prevent it dropping into gear at inopportune moments. What i didn't expect was to find an unidentified piece of shrapnel in there.

I can't picture where it's come from but it looks like it might have to come apart to find out. The engine is now out ready anyway.

Santa Pod racers club have announced that unpaid prize money from the rained out Easter thunderball meeting will be carried over to the next round there - the Summer Nationals. That means the prize money for the winner at least would be greater than the entry fee!
