Comp bike to the pairing lanes

It's only 3 weeks off the Easter Thunderball - the opening round of the 2012 ACU drag bike championship. Version 10 of the entry list has 7 entries in competition bike, that's fairly healthy for the first event, and a bit of a relief after half the comp bike field moved to Funny bike at the end of last season.
There might be a couple more entries as yet, or  maybe one or two stealth racers that have requested their entries be kept off the lists.
One notably missing competitor is last years comp bike champion Stu Crane.  Stu has taken a year out, and another missing comp bike racer - Dale Leeks can be found riding the Crane machine in the Funny Bike class.

The lineup so far then, looks like this......
CB2 - Harold Wolfenden. Harold mentioned that he wanted to build new bike with wider tyre for this year. On his entry his bike is sporting the name 'triggers broom 2' which would indicate thats what he's done. Last years bike was based around a turbo Hayabusa

CB3 - Phil Leamon. Phil has been racing in comp bike for many years, and won many races and championships with his long term GSX based nitrous bike.
CB4 - Phil Crossley. This will be the 5th season i've been drag racing, and the 5th in Comp bike. Modifications for this year are limited to a change from a lockup to a WSR slider clutch, and the addition of Racepak datalogger. The bike has also undergone a sideways shift of sponsor, and is now supported by the exceedingly tasty argentcakes.co.uk

CB8 - Nick Milburn. Nick runs a GSXR based nitrous Outlaw bike. He constantly improved his times last year, running into the low 8 second zone and will no doubt be looking to carry on where he left off. As far as i know this will be his 2nd season running in Comp bike.

CB9 - Tony Clark. Another Nitrous Outlaw bike, this time GSX based. Tony had some good results last year, getting very close to the 7 second zone at the extreme bike weekend.
CB16 - Paul Wing. Pauls bike has been around in comp bike a few years. He missed a couple of rounds last year after suffering engine damage. It is fairly unique in that it is a fuel injected turbo GSX. The bike has run well in the past and just needs to get back to where it was.

CB42 - Alan Davies. Alan is a new entry in comp for 2012, the bike is a nitrous GSX funnybike. I've been told he ran it at several RWYB events last year and got the bike into the low 8's.
