All systems are not quite go

The next event is looming - the Summer nationals at Santa Pod is just 2 weeks away and the bopchop is still not ready. I'm awaiting 4 valves for the Star Racing head, other than that however the engine is back in the frame and i've done as much as i can.
The entry list for this event is very good with 12 bikes so far and it would be more if Bob Brooks had his bike ready. Comp bike is really gathering momentum this year! The entry list can be found HERE

One of the things that would be useful on the bike is a datalogger, it would mean we can see exactly what is happening with the clutch, revs and tyre during a run rather than guessing. The past 6 months have been spent keeping an eye out for a suitable used logger, and it looks like finally one has been secured. It's a Racepak SC1000 which is a fairly old model but does everything that's required and has good resolution - that's the number of samples per second, which is important in drag racing where the race is over in just a few seconds.
The logger is in the process of being checked over and once confirmed it'll be winging it's way over from the states. It'll not be fitted in time for the next race but should be for the Open sport nationals in August.
