I've now reached the hideous limit of how many tubes i can cut and file fit by hand. A tube notcher would've been handy but I'm not sure my sister and her neighbours would approve of any extra noise from the cellar. Luckily the end is in sight, there is only one more main frame tube to cut, then it's just the seat rails and bodywork mountings to fabricate out of easier 12mm stuff.
After that there's all the little brackets and mounting points to make up as i go along, a sprocket support plate to concoct, forks to shorten and fit and brakes, handlebar mounts and possibly top yoke and wheely bars and ... and .......and
One of the things i need to buy in the next few weeks that ain't cheap is a 15 tooth 3" offset sprocket. The offset is required to move the chain out far enough to clear the back tyre. A new chain will probably be a good idea too.
I'm fitting different forks in the form of some RG125 upside down items that have been sat in the cellar for over a year now. They weren't long enough to fit on the old bike but they should easy fit now. I'll have to see whats required to stiffen them a bit, possibly springs off a heavier bike and maybe heavier oil.
