It takes an incredible amount of time to create things on the lathe, i thought the wheel hubs were nearly done, but after more than 20 hours they are still some way off. Boring out the centers of the hub to accept the wheel spindle and center tube was a particularly slow as i cant support the tube over it's length, and must only remove a tiny bit at a time or it moves in the chuck and runs off center. I've ordered a new boring bar that I'll use to finish off the bearing surfaces as it's critical that they have an accurate finish and hold the bearings tight. Another 5 hours should see the wheel complete other than polishing.
The frame loop has now been tacked together. Tomorrow I'll put my spare set of cases in it, but first the jig mounts will have to move as they foul the sump. This will be a good opportunity however to set the frame height and ground clearance and then work can begin on the back half of the chassis.
Here's another pic of the axle adjuster blocks , now threaded and with M10 hardened adjuster bolts in place.
And finally, here's another of Dennis's clips. This one an 8.5 run at Shakespeare County Raceway
