Last race of 2009

This coming weekend is the last race weekend of the year. The Extreme Performance Bike weekend at Santa Pod is a bike only meeting that combines the ACU championship with a round of the Straightliner series and also a bike only RWYB.
My Crewman - Stuart is going on his road bike so will be doing some RWYB runs over the weekend.


I've made a few minor modifications to the bike over the last few days. Adding a second, much brighter shift kill status light to the dashboard in the hope i will remember to set it correctly more often. Plus i altered the location of the airshifter slightly hoping to get a better angle between it and the gear lever. I also bought some good secondhand air shifter parts off eBay and have checked and fitted the ones that were in better condition than mine. All this of course is in the hope that 5th gear will make a reappearance!

Eurodragster will be covering the event as usual and on Sunday only there will be a radio broadcast (not nitro FM) to add to the coverage.

The aim for the weekend is to qualify (there are 11 bikes entered so it will be difficult), to repeat or better the performances of the previous race and to cure the 5th gear problem.
