Mid season plans

For some reason it feels like it's nearly the end of the race season already, but it's actually only half way. There are 3 races left, with the next one - the Open sport Nationals at Shakespeare county raceway, being only a couple of weeks away.

There hasn't been a lot to do to the bike since the last outing, hence the drought on blog updates recently. It's not as though interest has waned, quite the opposite - I'm conspiring a plan for ... well ... a bigger plan.
The only changes for the next race will be further leaning out tweaks to the carburettors, and some juggling of nitrous jets.

The bigger plan .....
At the end of this season i want to build a bigger more powerful engine, in a way that's kind of easy. I just try to save up some money and then spend it on bits and bolt it together again. But i also want to make some modifications to the chassis. What i don't want to do is cut up what i have as it works very well and whatever i come up with may tun out to be a pile of junk. So the plan is to get hold of a second GSX chassis and use that as a base for a new one.

Currently i'm looking out for the bits i'll need to take on this mission. I really want to buy some tools including a small lathe such as a Myford or a chinese built warco, and ideally a milling machine too. In the meantime i'm still trying to lay my hands on a spare GSX frame.
