2009 Summer Nationals

Only 1 week to go to the 3rd race of the year in the ACU championship - the Summer Nationals at Santa Pod.
The number of entries according to version 4 of the entry list, stands at healthy 10.
Still no Al Young in this round but we will be joined by Paul wing who entered some of last years events on his GSX/GSXR no bar turbo bike.

The entry list then, looks like this (Courtesy of Santa Pod website)

16 Paul Wing Suzuki EFE Shadowphax 1327cc Paul Wing
17 Nick Daniels Suzuki GSX Nonstop to Nowhere 1327cc Nick Daniels

The Summer Nationals is sadly only a 2 day event, however just like last year there is a peak performance test and tune day on the Friday which we have entered.
The only downside other than the added expense of the extra day is the fact the track doesn't open until the Friday morning, meaning we will have to set off very early to get there for the start of the day.
So long as the weather is good we should get lots of runs as the entries are limited to ensure maximum track time. We might need them too with the carbs still very much an untested addition. The old carbs will be in attendance just in case the Lectrons can't be set up satisfactorily and I'll refit them for Saturdays qualifying - if i have to.

Some good news regarding the Innovate LM-1 wideband logger i was using, i sent it to the States for Innovate to have a look at, and it's been repaired already and is sat at a UK airport awaiting delivery as i type. So there's a fair chance I'll have it back in time for Friday and I'll be able to get some proper Air/fuel data rather than relying solely on spark plug readings.
Nice one Innovate!
