The van is loaded ready for tomorrows event up at Kirkbride nr Carlisle. I'm taking my camera so should have some stuff to post when i get back.
The main reason for going is to attempt to set the clutch up so i doubt i'll set any new faster times, if it just launches well i'll be pleased.
Last Monday i had the bike out fired it up with the new baffle i made for the Straightliners event, it's not exactly quiet but it certainly ain't as loud as it was. The wiring isn't quite finished in that the sleveing still needs cutting and adding but for now it's cable tied to the frame and fully functional.
I fixed the waggly rotor with a bit of ice cream tub lid. Cutting out a small washer and adding it to the end of the shaft, it filled the gap and seems to have done the job .... so i may not need the billet rotor after all.
I also had chance to set the timing using a degree wheel and strobe, and test the MSD timing retart unit which seems to work fine.
