Visor up ET down

I don't seem to be having a very good trackrecord when it comes to drag racing and the weather.
I've attended 3 events now, a total of 6 days at the racetrack. Yet i have only ridden the bike 5 times.

Thanks to Tog at Eurodragster for use of the above picture

Todays trip to Shakespeare County Raceway was really quite reasonable weather wise compared to the last two events. No heavy rain, no sub zero temperatures and no Snow. Not bad!
But it did rain just ever so slightly early in the afternoon, enough to stop racing yet not enough to actually wet the ground. So all i managed was 1 run down the dragstrip. And it was yet another 8th mile run at that (due to crosswinds).
However!.....
I have FINALLY got my last observed run completed and my ACU license signed off. Yippee.
It was also my best run to date. I managed a 10.60 second run, and thats shutting off at just after half track, and with no nitrous. I also forgot (again) to change gear without shutting the throttle off. And i managed to set off with my visor open .... it was soon shut for me by the wind blast!
Time for the 1/8th mile was 6.41 at 111.4mph. And really it's not launching very hard at all..... theres much more to be gained on the startline.
We were also joined by Stuart and Steven (my partners brothers) who both have Honda CB500's, and who have never been down a dragstrip before. They enjoyed racing and managed to at least get a couple of runs in and a win each.

Stuart (B31) vs Steven (B30)
And a video of their race has been posted on Youtube
