I have now ordered a low pressure (1-5PSI) fuel regulator, it probably won't arrive until wednesday now so i might not have time to fit it before going to Santa Pod, but i'll take it with me and fit it there if i need it.
Less than a week to go before the Thunderball, theres plenty still to do. The Dandy trailer tent needs a bit of work, one of the legs that hold the bed up requires welding back on! and the number plate still needs fitting. There are a few things i'd like to do to it such as replacing some of the wood panels, but they will have to wait.
In an attempt to make the bike a bit smoother i want to take some more oil out of the front forks to make them a bit softer, and to quiz people regarding rear tyre pressure, i think 15psi was too high but i have no idea what is too low. The bike doesn't need much else really. At least i hope it doesn't ...... so long as it passes scruitineering. If it doesn't pass i'm sure it will be regarding the oil catch can. Just incase it doesn't i'll have to take all my bits and pieces in the hope i can sort it out (gaffer tape, lockwire & cable ties).
Whilst we were at the Pod last weekend, my Son Sam (cameraman come crew chief) wanted a pose so ... here he is with a big grin on his face.
I'll also have to get the next race entry sent off soon. Forms have to be in soon for the Spring Speed Festival at Shakespeare county raceway, held over the 5th/6th/7th May. Ideally i want to get to some RWYB's and get some runs in but i'll have to see if i can afford it. York Raceway is the nearest dragstrip, but the track isn't as good as Shakey or Santa pod. Alternatively there are the Straightliners events held occasionally at Elvington which is also close to york.
