VFR fuel pump wheelie works

As planned i tested the VFR750 fuel pump on the carbs this weekend and it works perfectly. It must simply have a lower pressure rating than the previous one.
So i made up an aluminum bracket that uses the pumps existing rubber mounts and found a spot for it under the seat. It's wired into the main power circuit so comes on when the ignition and everything else is on, and switches off in the same way or with the Lanyard kill. This should satisfy the scrutineers and end the problem i've been having regarding a fuel cutoff.

I got a new front tyre this week as well, the current tyre is nearly worn out and seems to have gone quite hard. It's been replaced with a nice soft Metzeler MEZ3......another eBay bargain of course!

I've never fitted the wheelie bars properly until today. It turns out they are quite low to the ground and when i went to adjust them, found the treads fully wound in, so they have no adjustment left! I don't know if they are too low, at a guess i would say theres about 25mm under the wheels, i'll have to do some asking to see what the "norm" is. And if it comes to it i'll take my welder and a hacksaw to the race with me and chop a bit out if necessary.

The Santa Pod website now features the Easter Thunderball photo entry list. Luckily they don't have a photo of me so i'm spared that embarrassment..... for now! The closing date for entries was the 22nd and the latest list shows 9 bikes in the Competition bike class.
This means, someone won't qualify!

Most of the other bikes are previous comp bike entries so i can see the sort of times they are capable of by looking at last years results. They are quick!
But all this will only happen if i can get to the the RWYB in two weeks time, get my observed runs done then hope the ACU will update my license in time.
