Waiting

Theres not been a lot i can do with the engine as i'm waiting for parts to arrive. So i've been doing a lot of chassis work and cleaning and polishing. Its been stripped to the bare frame and where it's needed painting i've sanded it down and touched up those areas.
It's been worth taking everything apart as i've seen lots of things i'm not happy with, things like the front mudguard mounts, and the back brake brackets. I'll improve these as it's rebuilt.
While the forks and yolks are out i've cleaned everything and flushed the oil out of them. And i'll get to work polishing all the ally bits before i put them back together.
I figured these are all things that will need doing so i may as well do them now while i'm waiting for parts.

After speaking to a few people i have decided that if i'm to use a copper head gasket then i need to have the barrels o-ringed. This involves machining a small groove around the top of the barrels and inserting a thin copper wire o-ring that is slightly thicker than the depth of the groove, thereby providing an excellent seal. This task hes been entrusted to Dave beck of Dave beck racing. The barrels are with him as i speak.

On a different note. Here are two of my Photoshop paint schemes. The first is my favorite so far.
