Fortunately the vultures have been 'merely transplanting' parts from one motorcycle to the next!
Stuart came up on Saturday to help out and we made a lot of progress with new bike. The engine was first on the agenda, then getting carbs on, plus airshifter and bearing support, nitrous components located, chain and sprockets on, and trying to plan out where various electrical components would live.
Today i continued where we left off, making up brackets for switches and the exhaust. Making up preload spacers for the front forks, as it became apparent once the engine was in that they were simply way too soft.
The original idea was to wire it from scratch but due to lack of time i transplanted the harness from the bopchop. It looks messy but just before i left tonight everything was working perfectly.
There are lots of things
I had to give up any ideas i ad to make wheely bars and instead I've asked fellow racer Stu Crane to make me a set. He will be bringing them to the track with him.
There are only 6 bikes in comp bike so far, hopefully it will increase and we will at least get a full field.
