Bling bling

It's taken a while to get completely completed but today i finished all the polishing, siliconed the parts together and bolted the whole thing up. The result - one perfectly formed and very blingy 10 inch wide back wheel.
I would happily avoid having to make one again, it's just so much work and they do crop up secondhand from time to time, in fact since i started making this one I've found 2 for sale that would have been perfect..... typical.

Until i have all the parts to start puttng the engine back together i've been polishing various bits and pieces for the new chassis. The top Yoke is in progress and the axle blocks will take a turn next.

And lastly, i modified my lathe by making a 4 bolt compound clamp to replace the spindly 2 bolt one. It's one of the recommended modifications to the 9x20 lathe, i've yet to notice any difference but I'm sure it will add some rigidity to it. The finish isn't quite up to the standard of the one on Steve Bedairs site where i took the design from, but my lathe is for making stuff not for admiring!
