Poor old effie

This weekend is the second round in the ACU championship at Shakespeare county raceway. The Springspeed Nationals has 8 bikes entered in Competition bike, one of those is me. It would seem a tad optimistic that I'll be there, or rather that I'll be racing, seeing as how i don't have an engine of any description in the bike.
A lots been happening in the last couple of weeks, I've been to Roger Uppertons Twice to ferry cranks over, it was the very last one - a rather rusty looking affair that turned out to save the day! But not only have i been trying to get things repaired, but also I've been restocking on spares, especially cranks as my collection has been seriously depleted in the quest to put together a fresh one. It took 5 cranks to find enough good sections for a new one!

Anyway, this was purchased at the weekend and sold again a couple of days later minus it's engine, which i have removed, partially stripped, and stashed away under my workbench.

It did seem far too good to take to bits, but the addiction needs to be fed! It's an EFE model, the newer version of the GSX engine which has - so I've been told, stronger cases. That's a good thing.

We might go to the springspeed event as spectators, I've booked the days either side of the weekend off work anyway so it's a possibility.
