bopchop V1.2 maybe ??
Anyway, here is the GSX frame i picked up at the last race. It's standard-ish, just a few bits added at the back where it's been streetfightered.
I was surprised at how scabby the original welds are, the welds on the bopchop frame are much nicer so i can only think that someone has cleaned them up, but it seems like a lot of effort.
Since the picture was taken I've chopped off all the back end so all that's left is the front loop. The next step is to construct a jig and attach the loop to it. Then i can start making incisions and have a go at relaxing the steering head angle and constructing the back half.
The original plan was to use chromoly tube, but thats been scrapped in favour of T45 instead, as it's been recommended to me and does seem a better and easier to use product. It's not cheap however so I'll have shop around for the best prices.
It may well turn out to be a pile of junk as i have no experience of chassis mods, but even if that's the case i might learn something trying and so far its cost almost nothing.
