Later today team bopchop will be embarking once again on the trek down to Santa Pod for the first ACU drag race meeting of 2009. The poor van will be filled to the brim with all the necessary racing and camping paraphernalia, including the new marquee i bought (which takes up a massive amount of space)plus the bike and tow bike. It also has to pull the trailer tent too, as Stuart who normally brings it, isn't coming till Saturday.
This means that we are debuting a new temporary member of startline crew in the form of the completely inexperienced but always enthusiastic Bracer. Sirus is also coming along, and will be working his usual and preferred role as chief tow bike rider.
The weather forecast has been disregarded as usual and a mentally positive good weather vibe has replaced it! So we are sorted for sorted weather.
So long as we can get a broadband signal from the pits I'll try and update the blog with the relavent happenings and hopefully some pictures and video too.
Qualifying starts Friday morning, and all the action can be followed thanks to the great work of eurodragster.com on their webcam, and via their live reports and galleries. Even better is to listen in live to all the commentary via Nitro FM
Heres a reminder of what last years Easter Thunderball looked like ....
