The grind

At last i have been able to start doing things with the engine.
My barrels have arrived back from Dave beck racing, and the o-ring job looks very nice. For those that don't know, when you use a copper head gasket you need to o-ring the barrels with a thin copper wire to help them seal.

Also, i now have the APE heavy duty crank studs so i have been meticulous in cleaning all the threads out of the upper case half and have now threadlocked and torqued them into place.

With my able assistant (my nephew) i have started reassembling the lower crankcase components, selector drum and forks. I should have some pictures to post soon.

The valves have all been ground/lapped in, no damage was found although the exhaust seats had some pitting, it's nearly all vanished with a bit of grinding paste and a sucker on a stick.
